It sucks that they didn't do anything about the insane Empty Pockets grind. Even if they can't change the requirement for the trophy or are too lazy to create a bare bones weekly challenge or map where you can spend a ton of coin, at least tweak the numbers for coin earned and coin cost for traps for the last week or so, or make it so that Power Generators create an ungodly amount of coin. The fact that I have to choose between cramping in over 100 hours of the most boring non afk grind I have ever seen within the next 3 months or end up with a game that will forever remain unfinished and screw up my ambition to have 100% completion rate is really fucking annoying. I mean there is a reason that the amount of people who have this platinum is limited to about 0.07% of dedicated trophy hunters, just let that sink in for a moment. I'll never buy another game from them after spending too much on this one. I love this game. But the fact they didn't fix that shitty fucking trophy pisses me off. Hundreds of hours of natural play and I didn't even crack 1/4th of the requirement.
Grinding it is tedious. And don't lie and say you can't change trophy information. Some games have flat out added additional trophies for the platinum to pop. Others have changed trophies to be easier, some harder. It's simply not true unless Sony's employees just go on their own whims. which is totally possible, but that just means try to get in touch with someone else until you get it.I would've loved to plat this to show my love, but nope. I don't want to grow to hate the game just to get the platinum.Developers need to think about how their trophies/achievements affect the outlook of their game after you've earned them.
Because if it doesn't leave players feeling like they achieved something, it's probably going to mean they hated the process. And it may taint their otherwise enjoyable experience and leave them with a bad taste.I don't really regret spending money on this game. I had a blast, and it deserved the support. But I don't really want to support companies who don't care about it's players at all. And that's not that they're shutting down, it's a business. It's that they didn't rectify clear issues. Even Steam players complained about that dumb achievement.
And you can say to just not care, but I'll just throw that back at you to not care about my opinion and move on. You act like this is a universal thing but I have felt a lot of achievement from this game and I don't care one willy about trophies. There were many strategies created to get the coin trophy and a lot of them made it possible to do in just a few weeks of casual play. Unfortunately the forums are no more so that knowledge appears to be lost. And I was on the forums when they told everyone why they couldn't change the trophy. The basics behind it were that it would be unfeasible to do so with such a low-profile game. I don't know of any games that have changed an existing trophy but it seems like something Sony guards very carefully and would require an incredible out-pouring from a game's community to convince them to change anything.
OMDU does not have that type of community. If you'd still like to try and get the trophy I can kind of remember some details. Something about solo, endless and creating large combo chains while buying and selling coin generators(since they do not refund money, I guess) and you should be able to clear something like 100k(maybe more) by about wave 30 or so. I forget which stage was the best but I think it was just something like the Baths. I don't know about which character would be best but probably one with an elemental/magic affinity so you can easily add to the combo chains or someone that can slow/stun enemies as they pass coin generators.100,000 for 30-40 minutes. 1,000,000 for about 5 hours of work.
200,000,000 for about 1000 hours of work. 1000 hours is about 41 days but you already have a quarter of the total so for you it would be more like 30 days or so. There are 4 months left which gives you plenty of time. You can probably make more than 100k if you're good at abusing the coin generators and creating combos.
