HELPFUL LINKS. Sadly, the Switch Pro doesnt seem to send DirectInput at all over hardwire, so I dont think anyone's got them working wired at all.Since I have access to basically all the controllers through friends, I tried nearly everything from Switch pro to DS4, and personally I ended up using a Xbox One controller, although the DS4 is probably just as good if you like that layout better.

Dont bother with worrying about Gyro support, its not worth it for the effort/price and those super-rare and out of the way shrines can be beaten with a mouse. I'm having an issue with the very last part. When I have 'emulate controller:' set to Wireless Game Pad, 'Controller API' set to DirectInput, the only option I have for controllers is 'Wireless Gamepad', which I'm assuming is my pro controller, but on my devices interface, it's literally called 'Pro Controller'. Additionally, when I go to put the buttons in, it won't let me do anything at all, and when I click for the first button to register, it puts in 'X Rotation +' and won't let me do anything else. It also seems that the refresh and calibrate buttons don't do anything.I'm running Windows 10, and I have a bluetooth USB dongle. Any ideas what I could do to fix this problem?.

I bought myself a Pro Controller yesterday and tried to connect it. First I just pressed the button but nothing happened.

I had my JoyCons on the grip and the Switch on the table because I put on a screen protector before. I tried to bring up the controller menue but the whole unit freezes and I had to reset. After that I was able to connect the new Pro Controller but instantly realized that something's quite wrong because the cursor jumps down all the time without touching anything. I went back to main menu and it was gone.I turned off the unit and the pro controller just to see if it syncs back and everything was OK so I thought let's do a calibration just to be sure. Did that and went back to BotW without any problems.I was sneaking forward slowly and let the stick go but wtf, Link just kept walking forward.

I tried to touch the stick and he stopped. I found that even the slightes touch made him walk forward and it doesn't stop if you leave the stick. Same with the right stick, very strange!I thought I have a defective unit and was about to but it back in the box but I gave it another try with the calibration tool and this time it worked. I checked before and after calibration on the testscreen, before the stick movement did not snap into center position, this sticks are really high precission!!!

After calibration ther's some kind of dead center in the middle where it snaps into when the stick is close to the center point.I played BotW after that and it worked well!If anyone else has noticed something like that please let me know. For those buying a Pro Controller you MAY run into this problem so just try calibration and double check after calibration if the stick movement snaps into center when you let the stick go!EDIT: Some peaople seem to dislike / downvote because I didn't use the cable to pair which may be the reason (no one knows!) for the Trouble. However, I don't understand the problem, I can't remember any BT or other wireless pairing that required to plug in the device so I didn't even thought about doing that. I knew it was possible but why on earth should that be the 1st option!? Wireless BT pairing is the most common thing I can imagine so.!? I wouldn't mind if there was a sticker on the controller telling me to use the cable but there isn't one so I think that's not how it was intended. Maybe you're right but theres only one moment where you pick the descission you know and in that moment I just wanted to quickly check out if it's working or not.

411 restoration. I didn't even thought about using the cable because I hate cables and that's why I just want them to disappear behind my rack or wherever. I'm used to not using cables for the initial check (for everything that runs with a battery) and even if you need the cable I sometimes dont unpack it completely before I'm sure everything works and I have a plan where and how to install and hide the cable;-)You'll hardly find any (visible) cables in my house except those I can't hide like charging cables for cellphones or cables for equipment thats used temporary like a blender or whatever.
